Recycling pays.

Published by yanjiaren at 3:45 pm under greener living Edit This

In this uncertain and unstable Economic Climate it is a great blessing to be able to recycle your goods and also make an extra buck for doing so. A good idea is to go through all your belongings every few months to de clutter your home and then you can decide what to do with the discarded goods.

1. You can either give it all to charity and for a good cause of your choice.

2. You can go to your local flea market or car boot sale as we have here in the U.K and sell your stuff at bargain prices. I have myself done many car boot sales in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Not only do you have fun but you get to maybe sell your stuff to others that will find it useful so the items don’t go to waste and you can then use that money for something green too, like a green gadget or some nice green clothing. WHATEVER YOU DECIDE TO DO RECYCLING PAYS AND BENEFITS MANY PEOPLE all round so no one is the Loser.

Doing this exercise every few months is also a cleansing and refreshing experience as too much clutter can make you feel stifled and in a mode of procrastination.

I think the car boot sale is equivalent to the garage sale, as the saying goes, “your junk could be someone else treasure, and others junk, could be your treasure”.

We give our empty bottles to our neighbor who collects it for charity. The other recyclabes, we let the city collect it. Old clothes, shoes, etc., we give it to Salvation Army or Goodwill Homes. And you are very right, decluttering our house is a very good exercise we can reward ourselves, also gives a more peaceful mind when we see less clutter :) .

Thanks for sharing always your green not mean thoughts. Also, thanks for stopping by my blog and giving me a comment and yahoo buzz. I had been out for several days and were not able to log on, and I am really touched and surprised by your buzz. Thanks.
