ECO NEWS: China and it’s CO2 Emissions.
China has been branded a villain in CO2 Emissions by many countries looking for an excuse to continue on with their surge of polluting the Planet but compared to other countries She isn’t doing as bad as the Media is claiming and on the contrary it is actually trying to curb emissions like introducing stricter measures on the road with car efficiency a priority even over their U.S counterparts which is quite interesting.
You can see an in depth report of these findings in the latest Eco News Bulletin that really is an eye opener for the General Public at Large. It is amazing really what we can be fed on the daily Mainstream Media and it is always better to dig a little deeper and do one’s own research to find something closer to the Truth.
It is true though to say that with a surging Economic Boom in China the result is more pollution but at the same time China IS more aware of the problem as it is developing at a higher rate than when other countries were industrializing.

You are correct. They are developing higher standards in China. In Hong Kong last year they passed a non-smoking ban which has drastically reduced pollution. On Lantau Island cars have basically been banned. Unless you have specific permission to drive there you are not allowed. And, it shows. I was there in March of this year and found absolutely no hint of pollution in the air. These things take time and they are doing what they can. Also, thanks for the comment on my blog about your stacks of poetry. Your comment inspired my post for the day so check it out at http://apoetsviw.today.com
Thanks.
Thanks for sharing, nice to know, and I am not surprised. We always put China a villain, but with its effort maybe soon they get to breathe cleaner air than here in US. here, the problem is public transportation, just too much cars on the roads because the cities were built to rely on individual transportation. even though a lot of cities have accessible and convenient public transportation already, still, people tend to not appreciate and probably look down on it. come to think of it, a lot of people here don’t even know we have buses and trolleys in san diego
this reminds me of the part in the documentary, ‘an inconvenient truth’ where gore says that emissions standards for vehicles are even tighter in china than the united states.
This was a shocker to me. I just finished ‘Lost on Planet China’ and was incensed to hear the author describe the air quality. So good to hear it’s not being ignored. Yet another reason to buy local tho.
ps. thanks for your kind words of encouragement on my new blog….yours will be going onto my blogroll…it’s wonderful!
Being eco-friendly is definitely a growing trend today. It is important to protect our environment as much as possible today because we have caused a lot of damage to it by not taking care of it. Go green!
I am glad to hear that countries and people are starting to take things to the next level. I find that more and more your everyday individual’s are making the change starting at home.
