I want to apologise for not updating my blog and dropping entrecards and commenting on my Lovely Friend’s blogs but.
A. I was moving from Toronot to Vancouver.
B. I did my back in so just coudn’t do as much.
Now I am back I will be blogging with a vengeance and to add to all my green ideas I have to announce that I finally took the plunge and have gone veggie. Yeah not an easy task for someone who grew up in a typical Greek meat eating family roflmao. Anyway I wanted to share my good news and hope to catch up with all of you and see how your great blogs are doing. I also think I have lost a bit of weight since I turned veggie and what I do is not eat any starchy carbs at night. I eat egss and milk and cheese aka dairy produce and my cjocolate biscuit for some treat in the afternoon but I have behaved and not had a burger in two whole weeks. I go past a Mcdonald’s and say some mantra to get me not to eat the burger I used to have. The Famous Angus burger ahahahha.
I do hope you will all come and visit me again and I will now be busy seeing what you have all been up to. Here is a to a greener lifestyle for us all. I think beign veggie means lower impact living which shounds good to me.

With the U.S Economy in Tatters and the World at large falling into recession we all know that the only way to get out of this rut is the GREEN WAY and with Obama’s Green Push initiative planting the seeds for real change can ignite a sustainability movement worldwide. We need someone like Barack Obama to show the way forward and into better economic practices that have a sound moral and ethical basis for sustaining human life not just for filling the pockets of the Few.
There are ways in which Obama wants to generate new jobs and this is in the Renewable Energy Sector where he is intending to double the output of renweable energy while at the same time decreasing America’s dependency on Foreign Oil supplies.
If he can succeed in this then this will create a snowball effect and other countries will be pressured into following suit which is better than what the U.S predecessors have accomplished in the past forcing countries to accept free trade agreements that have crippled their economies which now in turn is crippling the U.S Economy.

I came across a startling picture today which I had to post on this green blog as they say a picture speaks a thousand wards. This coudn’t ring more true when I cried looking at the emaciating human being on the front of it.
This is a human catastrophe that with today’s technological advancements could be well and truly avoided. With better distribution of wealth and less corrupt governments who propagate a greener agenda, fatal calamities would not exist to this level.
The Global Economic Crisis facing this generation should be put to a halt instantly through implementing green and sustainable living conditions and permeating Eco solutions through all echelons of Society. This ‘going green’ is not a passing fad as we actually don’t have any other option to survive as a Species through any other form of governance. We have seen that both capitalism and communism have failed to deliver social harmony and prosperity to all but have only brought about social unrest along side greedier and more sinister individualism.
Take time to lookat the picture staring you in the face and come back and tell me what you think of it all.Going green isn’t a choice but a reality we have to live up to or fade away as a species.

Now that President Barack Obama has been sworn in as the 44th president of the United Stats this will have such an impact in the Green Technologies area that it could have a ripple effect on the whole of Humanity.
He has promised cleaner skies, more renewable energy and and a Nation moving into the direction of CLEANER AND GREENER POLITICS too.

Now Green is not only about Solar Power and wind farms but also it embodies a whole thought process of moral ethics on an almost Confucian Level. At last the advent of the Electric Car has now arrived and sooner not later will see more of the green electric vehicles on the road as Governments push for more green tax cut initiatives for those driving one of these new generation electric or fuel efficient vehicles.
I found some great sites that give good information of the best in the Electric Car Industry so it is good to take a peek around what there is before deciding which one is right for you. There are so many more models to choose from and the variety of fuel efficient cars, hybrids and bio fuel running cars out there on the market to suit your needs. So out with the Hummers and in with the Hybrids, it looks like consumer trends are changing forthe better at last.
Here is a cute electric car guide that gives you a little idea about why it is better to go electric.

O.K now we have heard it all and you may have heard of the phrase ‘death warmed up’! Well now you have it literally. How would you like to be wrapped up and cozily warmed up from the recycled heat of burning dead bodies? Does that sound nice to you? Would you like to be reconstituted and recycled after death? What are your views about it?
Well in an effort to keep some of the Population warm this winter the Swedes of Halmsted have come up with the idea of recycling heat from a crematorium to bring you warmth straight into your living room. I guess recycling has become dead easy nowadays. I say Kudos to BIO FUELS! You can read more of the story here: I got a good kick out of it myself and at least the people that have passed away can be rest assured that een when leaving this Planet they have been of use to their fellow Man.

Now in Canada an exciting Global challenge is taking momentum with the One Million Acts of Green Movement spear headed by nne other by the CBE channel and Geaorge Stroumboulopoulos of the ‘HOUR’ TV program.
It is trying to engage Canadians to engage in as many green acts as possible and on an Internet platformjot them down for others tosee. There is The Million Acts of Green Website one can sign up on and get actively involved. This isa great piece of green news that deserves some merit and I hope it can continue to grow and not fizzle out in a week or so. Green living is now vital for our survival as a Human race as any other alternative life style would bring as and every other living thing on this Planet to disaster. If you can even do one green act, wherever you are in the World here and now, know that it can MAKE a difference. The time to act is Now if we really care about cleaning up our Act.

Here is some pleasant green news to tickle your imagination, especially if you are residing in the U.S.Ten states in the U.S have already participated in the cap and trade system initiative where by they have to buy carbon credits to offset carbon emissions for the not so green energy they are producing.
This has been a success as a pilot scheme so more U.S stats are going to get involved in cleaning up their act in offsetting co2s. The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative after holding its second auction for carbon credits marked a resounding keep forward where by carbon credits were sold at levels reaching 10% than the previous year’s sales. The ten states that took part proved to the rest of the Country that little by little great things can be achieved in the direction of going green and cleaning up on environment issues in general. Green house gasses in these ten states has been capped and will be reduced even further by the year 2018 it is anticipated due to this initiative. In cleaning up their act these states have proven that things can get done and many other states are finding their own unique ways in dealing with pollution and offsetting their own carbon emissions.
You can find a more in depth analysis of this going green story here on the Practical Environmentalist . It makes for happy green reading.
