Eco Solutions: Southern China goes Green

In Southern China a new Green Revolution is taking hold as Guangdong Province makes a huge leap forward in an attempt to clean up its act. Infested with a plethora of polluting factories Guangdong has been known for its not so green manufacturing activities but with a new manifesto the Local Government is now trying to do all it can to change that and be a leader in Green Energy and production as well as the Environmental Challenge.

There are parts of the Province now harnessing Wind power and other incinerator Plants are recycling waste and converting it to electricity as much power is needed in the region for home and industrial purposes. China is aware of the ecological challenges facing the World and its own nation and although the progress may seem slow to the outside World, China is in fact becoming a World Leader in Global Renewable Energy Production and is fully ware of its responsibility to reduce co2 emissions.

You can see here from this interesting Youtube Video what the Government of Guangdong is trying to achieve along with local enterprise agencies and companies.  The road to making China go Green isn’t easy by any account as many companies who are only interested in personal gain will not like to fit the bil for environmental change but hopefully with Government legislation taking effect and implemented more strictly, this trend for polluting the atmosphere may change and go into the opposite direction which will not only bring a brighter and cleaner China but wil also allow the Chinese People to live happier and healthier lives.

Green Tips:Making gifts from recycled products.

Published by yanjiaren under green gifts Edit This

Making hand made gifts for both Friends and Loved ones can be both fun and also heart warming as it not only represents giving something as a token of Good will but also the fact you are suing products that would otherwise pollute the Earth or go to waste is another feel good factor in making such an item.

One beuatiful and unique gift which you can present to your Loved ones is made from something we often have spare and that is a glass bottle. Yes a nice glass jar or bottle that is laying around idle and we don’t know what to do with it can be a great gift idea.

If you have any class jars with lids then they not only make great storage gifts but can be also filled up with other goodies to be given away with the gift. You can paint these jars or bottles and the bottles can either be re used for food purposes like olive oil bottles for example of can be used as flower vases.

The way to distinguish what you want to do with these bottles or jars is to paint them with different ideas. For example the olive oil bottle you could pain the name olive oil on the front and paint some lovely olives on it with acrylic paints which you can pick up from any art store. You can even put the recipient’s name on the bottle to personalize it. If you are painting the bottle to be used as a vase try to see what taste your recipients have and do a painting job that goes wit their mind set.

Jars make lovely gifts and you can fill them up with sweets for presents and then pain them with a design of your choice. Zodiac signs are also another popular painting theme which you could associate with giving one someone’s birthday. Cool

Green Toys and Organic playthings.

Published by yanjiaren under green gifts Edit This

I think that a good way to teach and educate the Young on green issues is to get them aware from a very young age to live a Green life to the full and have fun while indirectly learning about green living.

Buying green toys is a pleasant way in which to coach the babies and children in the most natural way through play by giving to them these organic playthings as part of their daily green life.

There are many websites now online that cater for Green Lovers and here is one site that has a great assortment of products for babies and children that don’t cost a fortune yet are environmentally friendly and above all safe for your children. There is also another good factor here being that all the toys are made in fair trade conditions which means others were not exploited and badly paid for making these toys for our children to enjoy. This is also such an important point to look into because there are too many sweatshops around that use child and slave labor in order for the bosses to rake in large amounts of profit on poor people’s backs and we don’t want that.

I liked this relax cd for children to enjoy and learn to unwind as stress may hit even children from a young age which is aslo detrimental to one’s health in the long run. There is so much we can do also to influence gently the people around us by buying their children such beautiful and Eco friendly gifts which will enhance their knowledge and lift their spirit at the same time.

Offset Carbon - Green gifts.

Published by yanjiaren under green gifts Edit This

I found a really clever gift idea which not only helps the environment but is also aimed at offsetting carbon emissions for those special occasions that we all hope to have acess to. If you have a happy couple getting married you could give them the voucher for offsetting their honeymoon costs and they also get a car sticker and fridge magnet to boot which will remind them of their special day. There are offsetting gift certificates for all types of people ranging from the Gap Year to a round the World flight. I will be purchasing these for relatives of mine on their birthdays next year as they are not too expensive ranging from around £12.50 that’s around $25.00. I also think it is a good way of spreading awareness of Green issues and Global Warming.

You can take a peek at these clever green gifts here and see what you think about it all. Cool
